摘要
The crystal structure of indium titanate (In2TiO5) has been refined from X-ray powder diffraction data by Rietveld refinement. In2TiO5 is isostructural with In2VO5. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma with a = 7.2418(7) angstrom, b = 3.5018(3) angstrom, c = 14.890(2) angstrom, V = 377.6(4) angstrom3 and Z = 4. The final reliability factors were R(p) = 8.5%, R(wp) = 11.1% and R(I) = 5.6%. ln2TiO5 shows luminescent properties below 220 K. The luminescence is discussed in terms of crystal structure and compared to that of some other luminescent titanates and indates.
