摘要
The characteristics of FGE-Technique (Flowing Gas Evaporation Technique) is that the formation of vapor zone and particle growth zone along the flow of inert gas call be controlled by the inert gas species and the flow velocity. Nanometer-sized particles of Mn and Sb were prepared by the technique, the former showed the beta phase : a high temperature phase of Mn, and the latter showed an amorphous structure. Formation of beta Mn and amorphous-Sb may be attributed to the enhanced quenching effect of FGE-Technique, already observed in the ordinary gas evaporation technique. Thus produced amorphous-Sb particles were found to crystallize by an increase of electron beam intensity for the microscopic The similar crystallization of Sb particles was observed also by annealing at 120-150 degrees C for 10 min in vacuum, the phenomenon being concerned with a site effect.
