EXACT SOLUTION OF THE 2D WETTING PROBLEM IN A PERIODIC POTENTIAL

摘要
We study the 2D wetting problem subject to a layer of periodic potential. Using a generalized transfer matrix method we find the exact solution. Even when the average potential is repulsive a bound state can exist, thanks to favorable fluctuations. Our solution reveals a physical singularity at T=0 when the average potential is repulsive. © 1995 The American Physical Society.
