We demonstrate a technique that allows one to obtain t-channel Regge singularities that are consistent with the s-channel unitarity equation in a bootstrap theory. At asymptotic s we obtain an integral equation in two variables for essentially a Reggeon-particle scattering «amplitude» depending on a parameter γ, related to the angular momentum. The poles in γ of the solution gives us Regge poles self-consistently. If we approximate the kernel of the equation by a separable function then the poles may be explicitly demonstrated. As a second example we show how if the Reggeon is a double pole in the l-plane we get self-consistency in a calculation of only the leading terms for each intermediate state in the unitarity equation. © 1969 Società Italiana di Fisica.
