摘要
Two model insect antifeedants, lα-(3'-furyl)-4β,4aβ-epoxy-5β,8aα-dimethyl-3-oxooctahydro-1H-2-benzopyran (IV) and 1β-(3'-furyl)-4α,4aα-epoxy-5β,8aα-dimethyl-3-oxooctahydro-1H-2-benzopyran (IX), based on the C and D rings of the citrus limonoid limonin have been prepared. Both were shown to have activity comparable to that of limonin as antifeedants against larvae of the Colorado potato beetle, Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Say), in no-choice laboratory assays. © 1990, American Chemical Society.
