摘要
The convergence properties of the Bertaut series for the charge density functions 1/r, δ(R-r), and (R2-r2)n for n ≥ 0 are analyzed. The applicability of these functions is demonstrated and it is shown that some of them are especially useful if very accurate values for the Madelung constant are required. © 1979.
