摘要
A simple device for accurately measuring charge and size of individual drops utilizes the balancing d.c. field and an easily measured a.c. “spring-point voltage” at which the drop oscillation abruptly changes character. The functional relation of spring-point voltage and drop size is presented. Drop sizes between 5 and a few hundred microns can be determined within a few per cent. © 1969, American Chemical Society.
