摘要
(1) A proportion of lymphocytes in auricular lymph nodes of guinea pigs injected with rabbit Fab’ intradermally in both ears develop specific receptor sites on their cell surface. (2) These specifically reacting cells have been enumerated and characterized as to size (and cytology) following a single and second injection of rabbit Fab’. The responses had the characteristics of a primary and secondary response respectively. The response to a single injection of sheep erythrocytes had the qualities of a secondary response. (3) The interaction between specifically reacting lymphocytes and erythrocytes carrying Fab' antigen can be inhibited by pre-treatment of the lymphocyte suspension with soluble Fab’. (4) Any significant role of macrophage-cytophilic antibody in the experimental results has been excluded. © 1969 S. Karger AG, Basel.
