GAS-CHROMATOGRAPHIC DETERMINATION OF HEXAMETHYLMELAMINE IN MOUSE PLASMA

摘要
A sensitive and specific method involving gas chromatographic separation with nitrogen-phosphorus selective detection has been developed and applied for the determination of hemamethylmelamine in mouse plasma. Following extraction with n-hexane, the drug is quantitatively evaluated using triethylenemelamine as external standard. The lower limit of sensitivity of the method is 10 ng/ml of mouse plasma and detector response was linear up to 2 μg/ml. The plasma disappearance curve after a single intraperitoneal dose of hexamethylmelamine to mice is reported. Pentamethylmelamine and N2,N2,N4,N6-tetramethylmelamine were identified in mouse plasma as hexamethylmelamine metabolites by combined gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. © 1979 Academic Press, Inc.
