摘要
In order to elucidate some fundamental questions of methodology in comparative pharmacological investigations in man, we studied the anti-inflammatory effect of 4 typical corticoids (1. Hydrocortisone, 2. Betamethasone, 3. Fluocinolone and 4. Flumethasone) in 4 experimental models of inflammation (1. Rubefacient Test, 2. Histamine-Dermatitis, 3. UV-Dermatitis and 4. Epidermal Allergy Contact Test) of the human skin. Since the effects of topical corticoids on different mechanisms of inflammation in the human skin vary considerably, the simultaneous employment of several experimental models proved to be a useful means of characterizing the pharmacological properties of topical corticoids. © 1969 Springer-Verlag.
