Low-energy πΔ electroproduction data are analysed in the framework of soft-pion theory, by taking Δ finite-width corrections into account, with the purpose of deriving information on the ΔN axial transition vertex. The numerical results agree with theoretical predictions based on PCAC and on the quark model. © 1978, Società Italiana di Fisica. All rights reserved.
