SURFACE RAMAN-SCATTERING OF AN AZO DYE IN ACIDIC SOLUTIONS

摘要
The Raman scattering of azo dye adsorbed on silver sols in acidic solution was investigated and its surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectra and excitation behavior are reported. It was found that different tautomeric species of the azo dye show different SERS enhancements when excited with laser on- and off-resonance frequencies. These observations can be explained by a charge-transfer model rather than an electromagnetic model.
