METHOD OF DERIVING COMPATIBILITY COEFFICIENTS FOR RELAXATION OPERATORS

摘要
A simplified method of deriving compatibility coefficients for the relaxation labeling operator is presented. Several methods of generating these coefficients have been reported; the choice of coefficients may have significant effects in applications problems. In this paper, these methods are discussed briefly, and a more effective method from a viewpoint of both simplicity and accuracy is derived, based on information-theoretic concepts. Finally, the effectiveness of this method is demonstrated in a set of numerical experiments. © 1979 Academic Press, Inc.
