摘要
Measurements of luminescence efficiency under UV and charged-particle excitation as a function of temperature down to 4K are reported for cerium-activated magnesium aluminosilicate glass scintillators. The data lead to a model for emission by direct excitation at Ce3+ sites below 50K and by activation of trapped holes between 50 and 200K.
