摘要
A procedure for the analytical determination of small amounts of Pt and Ir by glow discharge mass spectrometry (GDMS) has been developed. Cementation of the elements from an aqueous solution on a Cu substrate is used to prepare solid samples for GDMS analysis. The operational parameters and the evaluation procedure have been optimized. Calibration has been performed with both a disc-shaped and a pin-shaped cathode. With the latter, a useful ion yield of 3 x 10(-5) has been realized resulting in a minimum detectable quantity below 1 pg.
