EXACT-SOLUTIONS FOR SIMPLE SPIN CLUSTERS WITH ISOTROPIC HEISENBERG EXCHANGE INTERACTIONS

摘要
We review the symmetrical spin clusters for which the Heisenberg exchange Hamiltonian can be exactly diagonalized by simple recoupling techniques of angular momenta. This procedure, already applied to n less-than-or-equal-to 4 spin clusters, is systematically extended up to 9 spins. It is shown that it can also be used for ions with different isotropic g values. A simplified expression of the magnetic susceptibility is derived and its validity is discussed.
