摘要
High performance liquid chromatography, carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance, chemical ionization mass spectrometry, and gas chromatography with flame ionization detection have been employed for the identification and quantitative determination of the epimers of amygdalin. The results indicate that a combination of techniques is required to understand total sample profiles and the pharmaceutical composition of current drug samples. Notably, injectable preparations of amygdalin are epimeric and below declared concentration, while tablet dosage forms contain epimerically pure (R)-amygdalin. © 1978, American Chemical Society.
