摘要
Using crystallographic and spectroscopic techniques as well as magnetic and Mössbauer methods the structure of BaNpO4 was determined to be of the known BaUO4 type with the lattice constants a = 572.6 pm, b = 807.2 pm and c = 816.5 pm. The magnetic susceptibilities of BaUO4 and BaNpO4 are comparable with data from other 5f0 and 5f1 systems respectively. The magnetic transition at 18.3 K is proposed to be of a second-order, antiferromagnetic type. © 1990.
