摘要
This investigation studies the preparation of air-cured E. regnans wood pulp fiber-reinforced cement (WFRC) composites and enables a more detailed comparison to be made between the mechanical properties of WFRC composites, containing either softwood or hardwood fiber reinforced composites prepared under identical conditions. We find that E. regnans wood fibers are less effective than P. radiata wood fibers when used to reinforce fiber-cement composites. This is possibly due to the low aspect ratio and short length of the hardwood fiber when compared to the softwood fiber.
