摘要
We describe a phase-difference prewhitening technique to improve the interclass discrimination capability for the case of one filter per multiobject. Conceptually, this is an extension of the magnitude-whitening operation in Yaroslavsky's optimal filter for the case of one filter per object. By introducing this technique into the filter synthesis procedure, the discrimination ability is increased significantly compared with previous methods. Computer simulation results by means of this technique are given.
