Dichlorvos, applied daily as an oil mist at the rate of 2·2 μg active ingredient/l, gave good control of Ephestia elutella (Hb.) in a London warehouse. The mist was dispensed automatically at night so as to minimize labour costs and interference with warehouse business. Chemical determinations of atmospheric concentrations showed that the dichlorvos diffused rapidly and good distribution was obtained. adsorption by stored goods markedly reduced the concentration of dichlorvos in the free Air space. © 1968.
