摘要：

The high wind-speed Aw-band backscatter data measurements of hurricane Ava made by the scatterometer flown on the Skylab were degraded. Extensive data processing and receiver calibration were required to salvage the scientific information contained in these measurements. The highlights of the special processing applied to these data are described, and the results are compared to previous experimental results and to theoretical predictions.
