摘要
The value of Na-23 n.m.r. as an analytical tool for providing information on the sodium cation distribution in hydrated NaY zeolite is discussed. A sample of NaY zeolite is investigated by straighforward single-pulse experiments, inversion-recovery sequences (the duration of the sampling pulse is varied), variable temperature measurements, and nutation experiments. The results suggest that details concerning the mobility of the sodium cations are essential for the assignment of peaks in the Na-23 spectrum to distinct positions in the NaY framework.
