摘要
Using a titration technique capable of recognizing differences of a magnitude of about 10-fold, no differences in the infectivity of two stabilates of Trypanosoma (Trypanozoon) brucei subgroup, to 2 strains of random-bred Swiss white mice were recognized. However, a difference in the course of infection in the two mouse strains was recognized, irrespective of whether infection was induced by one stabilate or by the other. Mice of one strain lived longer than did those of the other, apparently because they were more able to survive the first wave of parasitaemia. Thus both stabilates appeared more virulent for one mouse strain than for the other. © 1968.
