REGGE-POLE ABSORBTION MODEL FOR PIN CHARGE EXCHANGE AND CROSS-OVER

πN finite-energy sum rules, together with charge-exchange differential cross sections and polarization data are used to test the predictions of the absorptive corrections to Regge ρ{variant} exchange. An improved description is found, and a comparison is made of the modifications resulting from absorptive corrections with those from an additional ρ{variant}′ Regge pole. An analysis of the cross-over and sense-nonsense zeroes in the amplitudes is presented, and the implications for factorization are discussed. © 1968.
