摘要
Extensive and detailed HVDC simulator investigations have been carried out to demonstrate the operating performance of 3- and 4-terminal HVDC systems. Conventional control equipment used in operating 2-terminal transmissions was successfully used in this study. The studies included, in addition to steady state operation, the behaviour at different types of disturbances, with both very weak and stronger ac networks, and the use of dc breakers for disconnection of faulty lines. Also damping control operation both with and without the telecommunication system in service was investigated. The study has shown that the performance of a multiterminal HVDC system is comparable to that of a 2-terminal transmission using well-established 2-terminal control technique for the basic control function.
