PHOTOELECTROCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF ANODIC BI2S3 FILMS

摘要
The preparation of photosensitive anodic Bi2S3 films is described. The quantum yield of the photocurrent, which approaches unity above 2 eV, has been measured as a function of the wavelength of excitation, and the results have been used to determine the absorption spectrum of Bi2S3. The spectrum shows an indirect transition at 1.25 eV and possibly a direct transition at ca. 1.7 eV. The photodecomposition and thermodynamic stability of Bi2S3 are compared to CdS in an energy level scheme. © 1979 Elsevier Sequoia S.A.
