摘要：

This article summarizes current concepts of traumatic injuries of the aorta. The "osseous pinch" mechanism of injury is presented and discussed. The role of each imaging modality in patient evaluation is considered and a rational approach to their use suggested based on current technology and practices. © 1993 W.B. Saunders Company.
