摘要：

The standard theory of photodetection is applied to the case of pulses of non-classical light which are shorter than the detector response time. We show that a noise spectrum measurement on such light is in fact a photon counting experiment and that the frequency dependence of the spectrum is determined by the detector's characteristics. This approach is used to analyse direct photodetection of subpoissonian light, two-port detection of twin beams of correlated photons and two-port homodyne detection of squeezed light.
