摘要
Tiagabine (TGB), a specific gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-uptake inhibitor, is a potential new antiepileptic drug with a novel mechanism of action. In animals of epilepsy as well as in a placebo-controlled trial in patients with complex partial seizures, TGB showed significant anticonvulsant effects. TGB was well tolerated by most patients.
