摘要
Elastic-constant data for U0.2Y0.8Pd3 are presented between 1.5 and 100 K. The absence of any strong anomaly in their temperature dependence is strong evidence against a quadrupolar Kondo effect interpretation of the non-Fermi-liquid behavior of this compound. © 1995 The American Physical Society.
