摘要：

The anti-inflammatory activity of a number of triterpenoids and a nor-triterpenoid isolated from Indian plants has been tested against carrageenin-induced oedema and formaldehyde-induced arthritis in albino rats. The triterpenoids of the oleanene and ursene series and filicene were found to be active in both the tests. The nor-triterpenoid, nimbin was also active. The other triterpenoids such as lupeol acetate, ursolic acid, taraxerol and cucurbitacin were devoid of anti-inflammatory activity. The structure-activity relationship of these triterpenoids is discussed. © 1969.
