摘要
The results of two integral equations for predicting the structure and the thermodynamic properties of simple liquids are compared. The first equation interpolates between the Percus-Yevick and the hypernetted-chain approximations and the second interpolates between the soft-core mean spherical and the hypernetted-chain approximations, by means of a suitable mixing function. It is found that these equations, which are thermodynamically consistent, provide results in good agreement with simulation studies for the Lennard-Jones potential.
