摘要
This paper presents an overview of the state-of-the-art of direct numerical simulation (DNS) and closure models of particle-laden turbulent flows. The paper also shows how the results of direct simulation can be used to improve current closure models of these flows. Particle dispersion in a decaying grid-turbulence is studied using DNS, and the results are compared with the measurements of Snyder and Lumley (1971).
