摘要
Cracking of tetralin, 1,2-dihydronaphthalene and 2-methylindene have been studied at temperatures from 700 to 950 °C and a contact time of 0.5 s. Results show that the main path of degradation is dehydrogenation to 1,2-dihydronaphthalene and naphthalene. Indene is the only monoaromatic obtained in quantity. Its occurrence, from tetralin and 1,2-dihydronaphthalene, is not yet clearly explained and remains to be studied. Yields of monoaromatics by thermal cracking are very low. © 1979.
