Raman and Fourier-transform-infrared (FTIR) spectroscopic methods and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) techniques have been used. Strong vibrational perturbations of the OH-stretching and -deformation bands were observed in the Raman and FTIR spectra on intercalation. -from Authors
