摘要
Two different conditions of bone-marrow recovery were compared in irradiated mice where the cell repopulation occurs after similar delays. A sub-lethal irradiation produces an accumulation of medullary lymphoid elements (transitional cells; X cells). On the contrary, a lethal irradiation followed by the injection of 5 × 106 normal bone-marrow cells fails to induce any lymphoid rebound. No difference can be shown for the other cell lines (myeloid and erythroid series). The possible role of the X cells is discussed in the light of these observations. © 1969 Informa UK Ltd All rights reserved: reproduction in whole or part not permitted.
