摘要
The overall electronic properties of quasicrystals are presented mainly from an experimental point of view, and with a special emphasis on the AlMn(Si) system. The outlined question is: do quasicrystals exhibit properties specific to their original structure? For this, a comparison is made for the electronic properties of AlMn samples at the same composition for amorphous, icosahedral, decagonal and crystalline structures. The question of the high resistivity values observed in all the non crystalline AlMn(Si) samples, in contrast to the corresponding crystalline phases is discussed together with low temperature specific heat data. The presence of magnetic moments ordering ina spin glass state is also mentioned. Some preliminary experiments on single grains of the new thermodynamically stable AlCuFe quasicrystals are finally presented.
