摘要
The Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD) can be considered as a two-dimensional (time and frequency) representation of a one-dimensional signal. The time-frequency image depicts certain salient features which can be used in recognition and classification of the signals. Three classification schemes, which are different in principle, and can be adopted for the processing of these images, are presented and compared in this paper. Of these the decision theoretic pattern recognition approach is suggested for proper classification of signals. Efficient computational schemes are also proposed in the paper.
