摘要
The reaction of OH radicals with CH4 has been investigated over the temperature range 290-440 degrees K in a flow system with UV resonance fluorescence detection of OH. Its rate constant can be represented in Arrhenius form as k(1) = 3.83 x 10(-12) exp(-3660 (cal/mole)/RT) cm(3) sec(-1). This result is compared with the results of other experimenters and is used to calculate stratospheric destruction rates of methane.
