摘要
In many optimal design problems, which can be formulated as geometric programs, the parameters (data) of the problem are actually random variables. Stochastic geometric programming provides a novel design method for such problems, which assesses the influence of the uncertainties on the optimal design and yields a minimum expected cost. The method is illustrated by solving an optimal condenser design problem with fluctuating flow rate and inlet temperature. © 1969, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
