An apparatus is described for observation of the resistance to passage of a soluble gas through a gasliquid interface under dynamic conditions. It resembles an electrical a.c. bridge circuit and permits measurements to be made over a range of frequencies. From the data one can test various interface mass transfer mechanisms, including the effects of surfactants on both stagnant and turbulent liquid surfaces. © 1969, American Chemical Society.
