摘要
The ground-state reverse proton transfer of 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole is investigated by transient absorption and two-step laser excitation experiments. The observed dynamics suggest the existence of two long-lived (> microsecond time scale) phototautomers in the ground state. These two species are ascribed to the twisted and trans conformers, whereas the cis conformer is concluded to undergo a rapid (≪50 ns) reverse proton transfer in the ground state. © 1990 American Chemical Society.
