Age, per se, is not a sufficient reason to exclude patients from thrombolytic therapy, particularly in view of the much greater hospital mortality in the elderly,1 and some studies have shown the relative safety of thrombolytic therapy for acute myocardial infarction in the elderly.2 We report a case in which thrombolytic therapy was administered to a 110-year-old man, the oldest patient known to have received thrombolytic therapy. © 1993.
