摘要
An approach for efficient control of the population dynamics in the presence of competing multiphoton transitions is developed and demonstrated for the state-selective vibrational excitation of the OH bond on a femtosecond time scale, The controlling scheme includes coherent superposition of properly optimized infrared laser pulses.
