NATURE OF DIELECTRIC PERMITTIVITY OF PBTIO3 SINGLE-CRYSTALS

摘要
An investigation of the frequency dependence of dielectric permittivities ϵ11 and ϵ33 in single‐domain tetragonal PbTiO3 crystals enables one to determine all the permittivity tensor components and shows the presence of only the piezoelectric dispersion. Comparing the dielectric measurements with the Raman data, it may be concluded that, in contrast to many other oxygen‐octahedra ferroelectrics, ψ 11S and ϵ 33S of PbTiO3 are entirely determined by the resonance mechanisms of electronic and ionic polarizations.
