摘要
In this study, arachidonic acid metabolites have been implicated in the life cycle of Dipodascopsis uninucleata, especially during ascospore development. We have found that aspirin (I mM) in the culture media inhibit the production of prostaglandins and 3-HETE while the levels of lipoxygenase products increased significantly. It was also found that most arachidonic acid metabolites are associated with ascospores and corresponding supernatant. A down regulation in labelled arachidonic acid metabolites occurs during the life cycle in both vegetative cells and supernatants as the asexual phase progresses towards the sexual phase.
