:
Dynamic shape factors for aggregates of LMFBR mixed-oxide fuels have been measured with a LAPS spiral centrifuge using the method of Kops et al. (1975). The aerosol was generated by pulsing a focused laser beam onto the surface of a LMFBR fuel pellet composed of (Pu0.2U0.8) O 1.96. The measured values of the dynamic shape factor (κ) depend on the aerodynamic diameter (dae) and vary between κ = 2.85 at at dae = 0.5 μm and κ = 1.96 at dae = 1.5 μm. © 1979.
