摘要
A pulsed photoelectrochemical detection technique for liquid chromatography and flow injection analysis has been investigated. The approach involves irradiation of the flowing solution with a pulsed light source and has been developed for application in photoelectrochemical detection schemes where the surface of the working electrode is exposed to the light. This approach minimizes solution heating, reduces electrode surface degradation and provides the possibility of controlling the signal-to-background current ratio. This is achieved by sampling the generated current at selected time delays after the emission of the light pulse. The detection of nitrosamines and alcohols was used to demonstrate the technique.
