NON-ENZYMIC OLIGONUCLEOTIDE SYNTHESIS ON A POLYCYTIDYLATE TEMPLATE

A polycytidylate template facilitates both the self-condensation of guanosine-5′-phosphate and the condensation of guanosine-5′-phosphate with guanosine. It does not have any effect on the condensation of guanosine-5′-phosphate with other nucleosides. Guanosine-5′-phosphate condenses with itself less readily in its helical self-structure than in free solution. © 1969.
